CLIMB youngsters: Maths with Purpose

01Maths with Purpose

Mathematics is a core strand of the CLIMB journey, not only because of its importance as a GCSE subject, but because of the way it develops logical thinking, problem-solving, resilience and confidence. At CLIMB, we want youngsters to understand that Maths has a purpose beyond an examination — it is woven into everyday life, from managing money and understanding data to measuring, planning and making informed decisions.

Through our Mathematics strand, we aim to build strong foundations, address individual gaps and progressively develop each youngster's skills, while continually making connections between what they learn in the classroom and the world around them. Our goal is for youngsters to become confident mathematical thinkers who can apply what they know with purpose and independence.

“Maths has a purpose beyond an examination.”
